CTR Calculator

Calculate click-through rate from clicks and impressions - or work backwards to find how many clicks or impressions you need to hit a target CTR.

What do you want to work out?
CTR is not conversion rate. CTR measures clicks from impressions. Conversion rate measures completed outcomes from clicks or visits.

How it works

Click-through rate is clicks divided by impressions, expressed as a percentage: 450 clicks from 25,000 impressions is 1.8%. Use 'Find clicks needed' when you know your traffic and want to know what a target rate requires, and 'Find impressions needed' when you have a click goal and a rate you can reliably achieve. The benchmarks shown are broad industry averages - your own historical rate is always the better comparison.

Basic guide

Choose whether you want to find CTR, calculate the clicks required for a target CTR or calculate the impressions required for a target CTR.

CTR is calculated from clicks divided by impressions.

Example

If an advert receives 450 clicks from 25,000 impressions, the CTR is:

1.8%

Alternatively, use Find clicks needed to work backwards from a target CTR and known impressions.
